Aberdeen consultations now open on next stage of Low Emission Zone

Aberdeen citizens are invited to give their say on the latest proposals for the city’s Low Emission Zone (LEZ).

This stage of the process offers an opportunity for the public to make comments on the preferred option boundary, the proposed grace period and any additional exemptions.Aberdeen City Council intend to introduce the LEZ in May 2022, with enforcement beginning in May 2024.

The consultation period began on 28 June 2021 and will run for eight weeks until the deadline on 22 August 2021.
